The All Stars Beach Rugby Tournament took place for the first time on Saturday 22nd May 2010 at the South Shore beach Bridlington.
The tournament proved to be a popular and spectacular event raising over £2,500 for the Life For a Kid Foundation.
11 Teams entered the competition including mixed teams of male and female. Also taking part where ex Professionals such as Paul Newlove, Jason Critchley, Ikram Butt, Graeme Hallas, Chico Jackson, Marquis Charles, David Seeds, Johnny Thompson, Paul Topping, Jason Roach, Les Dyl and more..... In the sweltering heat of Sunny Bridlington, The tournament was won by Wakefield City ARLFC who beat Yorkshire All Stars to win Group A then beat Group B Winners Lancashire All Stars in the Final. Well done to all the players for taking part and all the support from sponsors and fundraisers. WOW...! What a day at Bridlington beach! The Great Britain All Stars rugby and the weather was fantastic! We got beat in the final but great time to catch up with the old boys of rugby league!.....

Life for a kid foundation, beach touch footy, kids playing on the beach, sandcastles, jumpers for goalposts, fish+chips n mushy peas, crab claws, candy floss, big meat-head seagulls with tattoos, sand in ye shoes, meat paste sarnies in ye cool box with no ice packs....rite laugh.... let the games begin...
